Simming Speed:
3 sims per week, 7 days per sim.

Sim Schedule:
Regular season sims are 3 times a week; Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. One week simmed per sim.

Playoff sims are daily, two days simmed per sim (1 game per team).

Time Required Per Day:
General managers just need to check the forums regularly. 2-3 hours per week are plenty.

Sim Presentation:
Regular season sims are rarely done live, however playoff sims generally are live on MSN.

Sim results are posted on the board for easy reference.

Forms of Communication:
MSN & Message boards.

Language/Origin of GMs:

The majority of GMs are North American, many from the Montreal area, however we also have:

Some Aussies
a Slovak
a Swede
a German
a Finn
and more!

Sims are done in English.

Players.EHM Stuff:
players.ehm is not masked or anything.

Trading Limitations:
Trades are very much left in the hands of the general managers. However, if trades occur that do not seem to be in the best interests of the league, the Trade Committee will look them over.

Number of Commissioners:
There are two main commissioners (Mac and Ryan) who are in charge of day-to-day running of the league.

Current EHM Season:
The NCH is currently in the 2008-09 offseason.

Rules Headlines:

1. Backup goalies must start at least 12 games per season.

2. No players on the draft list will be able to be signed even if they are overagers.

3. NZT can only be used on two lines not with your best players (2nd to 4th).

4. Hit and grind is limited to one line (3rd or 4th) and cannot have your best players on it. No longer then 70 secs.

5. R & G can only be used on two lines combined for 110 secs.

6. NT will be allowed in the league. However, if a GM quits after giving a NTC to a player which the new GM wants to trade, the No-Trade-Claude can be waived for 5 millions per year remaining on the contract.

7. The league reserves the right to dismiss a GM at anytime.

8. League Salary cap at 75 millions.

9. No defensemen will be allowed to play in forwards positions.

10. No tanking will be tolerated. Three rules will try to counter any effort to tank:

#1) 1 60 OA and under skater on the pros per team.

#2) 3 65 OA and under skaters on the pros per team.

#3) No goalie on a pro team can be 65 OA and under. (starter & backup)

Teams who won't make the necessary changes will have those extra guys sent to the farm/jrs and be auto-assigned 65 OA + UFAs.

CON drops:

*Applies only during the Regular Season, at other times the drop will be fixed.*

- You have 2 sims to report the drop. If the drop is not reported in 2 sims, the drop will be permanent.
- Player between age of 17-20 yrs, NO DECREASE.
- 21-24 yrs, decrease 20% of the current drop
- 25-31 yrs, decrease 35% of the current drop
- 32 and older, full drop stays

Underagers on the Farm

- You will be allowed to send 2 underagers per year to the farm, up to a maximum of 5 on the farm team.

Retirement

- A player will play out his contract and cannot retire until he has finished his last year.

RFA Contracts:

- Players can only be offered a contract of maximum 4 years.

- Rookie contracts will be a maximum of 3 years even if the player accepts 6.

-Drafts:

The next 3 will drafts will always be known ahead, for example:

2010 draft: 20 pot 9s, 30 pot 8s, 70 pot 7s

-1 created player per GM, if a gm quits and is replaced, the replacement gm will be given a choice to rename his created guy, or create a 17-18 yr old of himself and watch him grow. * These players cannot be traded *

Yearly Increases:

Cannot be used on newly drafted players, as this happens during preseason.
Cannot be used on created players.

You will have to pick 1 from each section, here are the choices:

SECTION 1:

A ) 30 Ceiling Points – on 1 player max 125
B ) +15 Con – on 1 player max 99
C ) Pot-up for GOALIES

- Goalies can go to max pot 79, so pot 69 -> 79
- If a goalie has a pot > 79 you can increase of 1 the 2nd digit, a pot 81 G would go to pot 82.

D ) BOOM OR BUST: cannot be used on goalies

- You take a pot 6/7 and you gamble to boost him to 8 automatically.

- We roll the dice one time to see the if value will drop or rise:

*** For Pot 7s: Dice roll values: 1-5 = BOOM, 6-10 = BUST!

A BOOM would boost a 7 to 8 and then increase his ceilings randomly.
A BUST would drop a 7 to 6 but his ceilings would remain.

*** For Pot 6s: Dice roll values: 1-3 = BOOM, 4-10 = BUST!

A BOOM would boost a 6 to 8 and then increase his ceilings randomly.
A BUST would drop a 6 to 4 but his ceilings would remain.

- If a BOOM is rolled, then we roll the dice 6 times between 0-30 to see how much the value will increase of each major attribute (SH/PL/ST/CH/PO/HI) . This way it really matters how good the guy who gets the boost is.

SECTION 2:

A ) alternate position (No D to FW or FW to D unless under 20 - No G to FW or D never)
B ) name change
C ) + 2” & + 15 lbs (under 20)

D ) EMERGING LEADER

- OVER 21
- +7 leadership +3 consistency

E ) CLICK CHANGE

F ) Anger Management Class - +10 PE to 1 player

All-Star Game:
The EHSL has a standard North America/World All-Star Game, with the lineups being voted by GMs for the 1st time next season.

Awards Ceremonies:
Awards presented are the defaults in EHM, however, a GM of the year award is also presented. The majority of awards are voted for by GMs after the regular season ends.

EHM Knowledge Required:
We have guys and girls who are newbies to EHM as well as fhockey gurus! Dedication is all that is needed!
