Consistency Checks
Activity checks are conducted every offseason and once during the season.

Trading Board
The Commissioner's office retains the sole right to veto any trades that are deemed in some way to be unreasonable (e.g. salary cap violations, unfair trades, etc). Any complaints about pending trades can be directed via PM to the league office.

Commissioner's Office:
League Founder - Shawn Stevenson
Co-Commissioner - Doug Parker

Current Season
We've just begun 2007-2008 (season 3).

Original Roster Pack
A Tafts roster file circa June 2005 that had thorough ceiling fixes done.

Magazine
League buzz article done monthly. A special league magazine is done for the trade deadline and draft.

Salary Cap
The NHA operates with a salary cap of $60 million. Teams may exceed the cap by 5% ($3 million), during the month of March and till the beginning of the next season.

Franchise Player
The "franchise player" is a tag that can be designated to any one player by the team GM. The salary of the franchise player will not count against the league cap; however, the player must be signed to at least a three-year contract and will be the franchise player for the duration of said contract. As well, an automatic no-trade clause will be applied to the contract upon designation.

Retirement System:
We have our own system, which takes into account the player's age and is conducted via a random dice roll.

UFA System:
The UFA signing period system being used by the league is closed bidding, via the forums. Bids are sent to the league e-mail (nhaoffice@gmail.com), a topic is then posted saying bidding has opened on a player. Team with the highest sent in bid after 48 hrs. wins the player.

EHM Knowledge
We definitely welcome beginners to online play. Knowledge is a plus, but not an absolute neccesity.

NHL-EHM Switch
Nah.
