TIME SPENT ON DAILY LEAGUE WORK
Commissioner: Commishes use daily time for updating the sites and doing
sims
3-5 hours each day, we are dedicated for this league's success.
General Managers: Anywhere from 15 mins to many hours a day.
SIMULATION SPEED
3 Simulations a week. We simulate 7 days per simulation. Simulations
take
place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
SIMULATION PRESENTATION
Results will be posted on the forums immediately after the sim and news
and
HTML will always be updated on the front page following the sim.
COMMUNICATION Methods:
1) our forums. Where most action takes place.
2) MSN - Main program in use.
3) PMs on forums
LANGUAGEs Spoken in VHL:
English is dominant but General Managers from all around the globe:
Canada,
United States, Finland, Latvia, UK, Germany, Russia, Greek, Slovak,
Czechs
and half Chinese ;) Commish(Fin) lives in China currently.
TRADING CONTROL:
Trade Committee who checks every trade so no ripoffs will not occur.
When entering the league, it a condition that a new GM sends in instructions
for 3 consecutives sims to be allowed to trade.
CURRENT SEASON
We are just starting the season 8 (2012-2013), currently on Off-season
for
coming season.
ORIGINAL ROSTER PACK
Was made from Scratch by our Commish, Jarmo "Jake" Kankaanpää's
roster pack,
which was based on Smetana's rosterpack. Because there was no good roster
packs around and most leagues had unrealistic rosters so i decided to
make
my own, it took 2 months to finish with realistic salaries and all.

ALL-STAR GAME
Basic North America vs. The World All-Star Game.
YEAR-END AWARDS
Awards nominees for each award are selected by the discretion of a
committee. All nominees are gathered on a Ballot, which is distributed
to
all General Managers so that they can make their selection. The Ballots
are
then counted and the winners of the awards are announced. Original idea
is
from DFCHL excellent Founder Morf with help from Mole.
HALL OF FAME will be implemented this season.
INCENTIVES
Captains Meetings
Leadership increases via (Pow,RoM,PoM)
EHM KNOWLEDGE
Previous EHM experience is a plus and rookies will be taken from time
to
time but at the same time there will not be many inside the league,
as we
take this very seriously and put lot of effort to EHM. All Applicants
will
be reviewed in care so when or if you are accepted you know that you
are in
good company.
NHL EHM SWITCH
No plans will be made to switch to NHL EHM. VHL will continue using
the
freeware version.
INSPIRATIONS
To VHL have been my time in THL, THL2 family and also SHL have given
a lot
to me i would lie if i wouldn't list those in here, Also my time in
EHSL and
DFCHL great guys have big memories on me aswell VHL is based on SIHL
leagues
core which was founded by Petr Polasek back in the days.
