| Schedule Promotions and Mini Tournaments It is very likely that you have not even noticed that this can be done! Maybe you noticed that teams were asking you for exhibition matches? Didn't it seem odd that all of your games were then away games? Want to know how to set up your own games? In the offseason you have a lot of sitting around to do. In that time you may as well be playing some games and getting some practice in for your young guys. Let's set up some exhibition games and a tour of Russia shall we? 1. Go to your rosters screen, there you will see a bunch of menus on the left side. From those menus, select 'Schedule'. 2. Layed out before you will be the schedule for your team. If it is offseason, you will see a lot fo blank spots. You can scroll through the days and weeks by using the 2 small arrow buttons in the upper right corner. 3. Select the 'Arrange' button in the upper right corner. From here your choices are to set up a home game, an away game, a tour or a tournament. 4. For example purposes, we will be setting up an exhibition game and a tour. Select 'Home Game'. 5. The first thing you do is decide when your game will take place. Select an available day and then hit 'Next' in the lower right corner. 6. Instantly you will be brought to a list of teams. You can change what teams you are looking at by using the 'Competition' button in the upper left corner. Select the team you wish to play. 7. Once you have selected a team, you will be taken to their roster screen. In the lower right corner you may select 'Invite Club' to invite them to play your game. Once you have selected yes, you will be awaiting a reply from that club to play your game. It will appear as a news item once they accept/reject your game. Note: Teams will reject matches. This happens when you are an NHL team and you attempt to arrange a game with a WHL team for example. Use your common sense. Now you have an exhibition game, let's arrange a tour of Russia! Remember you will need a few days off for this to happen, so plan accordingly. Please be sure you have done the steps above before you advance to this next part, or you may get lost! 1. follow steps 1-3 from the list above. Once you have done that, come back down here. 2. Now, let's set up a tour. Select 'Tour' from the pulldown menu. 3. The next thing you will do is select the nation you are touring. It can be anywhere, but since we are setting up a Russian tour, select Russia and click Next. 4. Now you need to set aside some days for this tour, pick the days you want it to take place and click next. 5. Now that you have selected your timeframe for the tour, you will be taken back to your schedule screen. On the screen you will see a slot or however many you chose that says 'Tour of Russia' but the team says 'Tba'. Click the 'Tba' to select the team you wish to have in each spot. Remember to use the 'Invite Club' button to get them. Once you have set it all up and invited the clubs, all you need do is await the news that they accept or reject. You can also do mini tournaments, but now that you know how to use this stuff, you can play around with it yourself. Hope this helped!
